Paleontology, Stratigraphy, Sedimentology
|
I am a geologist specializing in micropaleontology and biostratigraphy, predominantly of larger benthic foraminifera, and carbonate sedimentology. I have conducted research in New Guinea since 2011 and I am especially interested in the response of carbonate depositional systems across the Sahul Shelf (incorporating West Papua, Papua New Guinea, Gulf of Papua and Northern Australia) to ecological stress through geological time, including past sea-level change and environmental deterioration. I also have a keen interest in the wonderful wildlife of New Guinea.
