Professional Background: With over a decade of experience in Geological data analysis, coupled with mastery over ESRI technology, Microsoft database and programming products, she asserts herself to be a new breed of hybrid technologists of today's modern era. She began her journey from the corridors of the Geology Survey of PNG to her present role as an independent contractor. Her academic journey culminated in a Master's degree in GIS from the University of Aberdeen in 2019. Fiona's superpower is her analytical mind and innate prowess in seamlessly interweaving GIS, Data Science and I T. providing solutions that transcend the ordinary. From crafting predictive surface models using satellite and field data, to integrating AI into cloud applications and GIS Map Products. Its this ceaseless fire for research and development in Earth System Sciences that drives her passion. Present Endeavors: As a Geospatial Data Scientist, she's deeply immersed in a fusion of cross-sector projects, providing institutions with precision-guided decisions. In parallel, she's always engaged in independent research and mapping projects. Aspirations on the Horizon: Fiona's next mission is in pursuing a Ph.D. in Earth and Planetary Sciences to further enrich her expertise and to contribute meaningfully to the global battle against Climate Change.
