An enthusiastic and passionate Earth Scientist with 10 years of industry experience. The thirst for more knowledge to further my career sought European Union Grant to achieve my MSc (major in Economic Geology) in 2014. The degree was part-time research based done between 2010 and 2013 on the Wafi-Golpu copper-gold deposit and involved several visits to undertake analytical research in Germany. I was awarded another scholarship to undertake Geothermal Training in Iceland and spent six months from April to October in 2014, studying Borehole Geology with the support from the United Nation and the Icelandic government. Through my current engagement at the Geological Survey of PNG and in the various roles that I previously undertook in the mineral resource industry, I have considerable skills in regional geological mapping, mineral systems studies, geophysics image interpretations, geographic information systems applications and geothermal energy. The desire for growth and recognition drove me to self-sponsor an online MBA program through the University of South Wales in United Kingdom which is expected to be completed in early 2020. My recent engagement on the Boera Geotourism Pilot Project, the first geotourism initiative in PNG has sparked a desire in sustainable geoscience and science communication which I hope to pursue further in the future.
